Established in July of 2016 as a result of a gift from the Jack H. Hill Continuing Medical Education Foundation. The fund honors the memory of Dr. Jack H. Hill, Trinity Lutheran Hospital’s chief pathologist from 1949 to 1980. Dr. Hill also served as Director of Medical Education at the hospital from 1963 to 1980. During that time he supervised an internship program, a resident program, the School of Medical Technology and continuing medical education for the hospital’s Continuing Medical Education Foundation.

The Dr. Jack H. Hill Fund distributes funds to support health care related educational needs such as:

  • Educational Materials
  • Speakers
  • Specific skills training

Funds will not be awarded to support:

  • Rental fees
  • Food
  • Non-educational materials
  • Equipment
  • Administrative fees

Applications for the 2018 awards will be due on Thursday, March 15, 2018 to the Baptist-Trinity Lutheran Legacy Foundation Office (6675 Holmes, Suite 470, KCMO 64131) or be postmarked by this date.The Review Committee will meet mid-April 2018 and notification of awards will be early May, 2018.

Application must include:

  • Copy of 501(c) 3 IRS Determination Letter
  • One page summary of organization, including mission statement
  • Two-page summary of program requesting funding with
    • Dollar amount requested
    • Target Audience
    • Number Served
    • Outcome/Evaluation
    • How program/service will be sustained after grant funding
  • Program Budget
  • If the organizational profile is available on GKCCF or Guidestar
  • List of Board Members
  • Copy of most recent 990 (or directed to where it could be viewed online)
  • Name, email and phone number of contact person
  • Award winners will be asked to submit two progress reports to the Foundation and the Advisory Committee
